Street Cat Layer 1

Street Cat Alliance Queensland

"Our vision is to live in a community where no kitten is born wild on the street, and where no cat capable of living in a home is lacking one"

Based in Southern Queensland, our mission is to reduce the number of homeless, abused, and abandoned cats and improve their quality of life by providing a quality foster care and rehoming program, promoting responsible pet ownership with emphasis on the importance of desexing, helping cat owners in need, assisting and working with other rescue groups, lobbying councils for subsidised and low-cost community desexing programs, and actively advocating for positive legislative and social change for cats in Queensland.

Foster Care

Become a Foster Carer

As a foster-based rescue, we place each cat into a loving foster home where it is fully vetted at SCA's expense, cared for, trained, and prepared for adoption. Foster carers are the backbone of our rescue, and without them we are unable to save precious lives.

Based in Toowoomba, we are always seeking foster carers throughout the Darling Downs, Lockyer Valley, South Burnett and Brisbane regions.

If you have room in your home and your heart for an extra fur-baby (or two!), complete the SCA Foster Application Form and we'll assess your application as soon as possible!

Ways to Donate

Street Cat Alliance Queensland is a not for profit organisation which relies solely on your donations to help us continue this important work. Each cat gets the best of care - but food, vaccinations, parasite control, desexing, and vet visits don't come cheap! Other expenses include insurances, administration, software, and accounting and legal fees.

Donations of money, time or goods & services all help us make a change to an animal's life. There are several ways you can donate, including donations of cash and essentials, volunteering your time, or donating the proceeds from eligible containers through the Containers for Change scheme.

Cash donations are essential to help us continue our important work and will be used towards vet fees and treatments, everyday care expenses, and other associated costs.
Donations can be made via PayPal or Direct Debit to Street Cat Alliance BSB 638-070 Acct 15709779.
*Donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Donating essentials such as food, worm, flea & tick treatments, litter, grooming, toys, and even old blankets helps take some of the burden off our loyal fosters whilst pets are in our care. To make a donation please email our team at scaqld@iinet.net.au

Do you have skills or experience in areas that may help us continue our important work? Whether it be becoming a foster carer, providing transport, assisting with fundraising, or donating your professional services, all offers of assistance are gratefully received! Please complete our Foster Carer Application Form, or simply send us an email if you would like to donate your time in another way! scaqld@iinet.net.au

Donate your empty containers and help us cash in! - we'll receive 10 cents for each eligible container through the Containers for Change program. To donate, use Street Cat Alliance's Scheme ID when returning your containers: C10492678
